This was my first completed portrait. Beforehand I had been experimenting with the very popular anime style. Looking the branch out and wanting to produce something I thought was truly beautiful I closed my eyes, and this was the woman who appeared behind my lids. At the time I didn’t understand Chiaroscuro or any other art techniques. Painting from imagination.
